Cookie policy

In short

  • One cookie of ours, and only if you use Doc, our AI assistant: a random number that counts your free questions.
  • No analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, so there's no banner to click.
  • Stripe's payment page sets its own cookies when you pay.
On this page

1. The one cookie we set

Our site sets one cookie, and only if you use Doc, our AI assistant (on the home page’s receipt or at /ask). Browsing, the check-up, the calculators, the blog and buying a report set none of ours.

  • Name: spd_assistant
  • What it holds: a random number, signed so it can’t be forged. No name, email, IP address or anything about your shop.
  • What it’s for: counting your 10 free questions without an account. It’s sent only to the assistant’s own address, never used to follow you elsewhere, and never shared.
  • How long it lasts: 90 days, the same time we keep the count it points to.

It’s a cookie the feature you asked for needs in order to work, so we don’t ask for consent with a banner. You can delete it at any time in your browser’s settings; the assistant then starts a new count.

2. What we don't use

No analytics company, no advertising or tracking cookies, no pixels, and nothing that follows you across other websites. We count a few steps each day ourselves, anonymously and without cookies, as the privacy policy’s section 4 explains. To count each step once, your browser remembers which steps it already reported until you close the tab (session storage: it isn’t a cookie and it’s never sent to us).

3. Other companies' cookies

When you pay for a report, Stripe’s payment page sets its own cookies, for security and to stop fraud, under Stripe’s policy. They’re set on Stripe’s page, not ours.
