How it works

  1. Install it from Shopify

Shopify asks you to approve read-only access to your orders and products. There is no separate login and no shop address to type.

  2. Add your costs

Each item's cost comes from Shopify where you have set it. Add the ones that are missing, a shipping cost rule, and the monthly costs you pay, such as apps or rent.

  3. See each order's profit

Every order shows what came in, each fee, refunds, shipping and product costs, line by line, and what is left.

What’s different

  • Every fee says where it came from

Each fee is labeled From Shopify, Estimated or Not known. For Shopify Payments, the fee is the one Shopify charged. For other payment providers, it is worked out from their published rate, and the rate is shown on the line. With no rate yet, the fee is left out and the order's profit is marked incomplete.

  • Past orders are recalculated automatically

Change a cost and every order it touches is worked out again, so older orders and newer ones use the same numbers.

  • One flat price, no charges per order

$29 a month, however many orders you take.

  • Every feature on every plan

There is one plan, and nothing is held back for a bigger one.

  • Data health shows what is missing

It lists what the app can't work out yet, such as items with no cost, so you can see which numbers are complete and fill in the rest.

Is the app working?

Every 30 minutes the site checks the app from the outside: the demo opens with its numbers, the page Shopify opens loads, requests without a valid signature or sign-in are turned away, and the hourly order import is on time. These are the results, as they come in.

Questions

Can I try it before installing?

Yes. The live demo is the app's own dashboard, running on a made-up store. There is no sign-up, every number in it is an example, and nothing you change there is kept.

When can I install it?

When it is listed on the Shopify App Store. It isn't listed yet, so there is no install link here. This page will link to the listing once there is one.

Does it change my store?

No. The app's access is read-only: it reads orders and products and can't change orders, products, prices or inventory.

Which payment providers have exact fees?

Shopify Payments. Shopify reports the fee on each of those payments, so the app shows it as From Shopify. For other providers, such as PayPal, Shopify doesn't report the fee, so the app works it out from the provider's published rate and labels it Estimated. A payment method with no rate yet is marked Not known, and its fee is left out rather than guessed.

Does it see my customers?

No. The app never asks Shopify for a customer's name, email, phone number or address.

What happens to my data when I uninstall?

Shopify tells us, and we delete the app's access to your store, every order it brought in and the costs you entered, at once. When Shopify then asks us to erase the store's data, we delete the store's address and the dates the app was installed and uninstalled too.

What the app reads and keeps, in full, is in our privacy policy, and its billing in our terms.
